College Prep Skills workshop
Mark Pruitt, homeschool specialist at Harding University in Searcy, AR, will be teaching a college prep skills workshop, specifically focusing on time management skills. He will also share a bit about Harding University, though the workshop itself will NOT be religious in nature.
Harding University was recently voted "Most Homeschool-Friendly College in Arkansas" by AlphaOmega, and was also ranked #1 Christian school in the U.S. by EdSmart based on cost, academic quality, student satisfaction, and salary after attending.
This workshop is geared towards students in grades 8 and up, AND their parent/guardian. We will be meeting at the Friendswood library in the community room. Space is limited, so we ask that only 8th graders and up AND one accompanying adult sign up. If you have younger children, we ask that you try to make other arrangements for them.
We also plan to live stream this event in our private Facebook group, for GCCHS members who would like the info but are unable to attend in person.
This is a FREE event, open to ALL homeschoolers in the area. Sign up deadline is August 28th. This is NOT a drop off! A parent/guardian MUST remain at the library for the duration of the workshop.
