Dual Credit
San Jac Dual Credit
Want to get a jump-start on your college education? San Jacinto College’s dual credit program may be a good fit for you. Dual Credit is a form of concurrent enrollment that allows a student to take certain courses at San Jacinto College while in high school. By doing this, students can graduate from high school with 24+ hours of college credit! Students can earn even more by taking summer courses.
ACC (Alvin) Dual Credit
The Dual Enrollment Program provides an opportunity for eligible high school students to enroll in college courses and receive both high school and college credit for the course. While dual enrollment courses are mostly taught on the high school campuses, students can also earn credit on the ACC college campus. The Dual Enrollment Program offers both academic and technical courses. Dual Enrollment academic courses refer to classes that are transferable to Texas public colleges and universities; whereas technical dual enrollment courses are considered highly specialized classes for the workforce. These courses are not guaranteed to transfer to universities, but are applied to Associate of Applied Science Degrees. Students should meet with the department chair to determine which universities accept technical courses.
HBU (Houston Baptist University) Dual Credit
In keeping with HBU’s 10 Pillars, we offer flexible classical Christian education for dual-credit to High School students through what is often referred to as an Oxbridge model (comprised of seminar classes plus dynamic lectures from first rate HBU faculty). By partnering with schools and homeschooling parents, we provide a way to enrich and empower your student’s education, through your school or at our HBU campus. Mission: To move high school students to think holistically, classically, and, most important, Christianly in order to profess that Jesus Christ is Lord in all spheres of knowledge.

The specific classes offered differ by grade level but generally include the core courses. Our preschool classes cover letters, numbers, colors and shapes.
Our Mission: Through the sharing of our members' gifts and talents we strive to provide academic support and enrichment to home school families, which would enhance a parent's efforts to educate their children, by offering quality classes in a Christian environment.

H.I.S. Co-op
Homeschool Instructional Support (H.I.S.) is a co-operative effort among home school parents to provide classes that meet once a week for the purpose of providing instruction in core subject areas as well as supplementary and elective areas. The program has been in existence since 2005. Currently the classes meet at First Baptist Church in Brazoria on Tuesdays from August through May. Assisting families with high school course requirements is the primary reason the co-op was developed. Classes for all ages have always been part of the program to assist teachers and families in areas where they are less confident or where a group setting is more appropriate for learning. Many families have stated that the classes have met an academic need, provided social opportunities, and helped in meeting transcript requirements. All classes within the H.I.S. program are taught with a distinctly Christian worldview.

Websites to Supplement Curriculum
Easy Peasy All-in-One Homeschool
We exist to help families homeschool. We enable families to homeschool who thought they couldn’t because of a lack of finances, a lack of time, or a lack of know-how. Others join EP just because it’s easy and fun and they’re confident of the quality of education. EP seeks to free families from the burden of pursuing the “perfect” and encourages them to let it be “enough.” Each family and each child is different and we seek to provide the resources to enable your family to be who you were created to be.
Blue Collar Homeschool
At Blue Collar Homeschool, we are focusing on a different kind of homeschooling excellence. In a world that tries to pound all children into the same "one-size-fits-all" college box, we are pointing toward a different path, one of educational diversity that still believes in the need for strong foundational academics, but doesn't exclude the notion that the trades or entrepreneurship are a very valid end goal.
Review, Buy, Borrow Books and Curriculum
The Homeschool Store

Timberdoodle
Timberdoodle began in 1985, when Dan and Deb realized that the homeschool supplies Deb used with their 3 daughters, ages 1, 2, and 3, were in great demand. They soon discovered that if she purchased products in case quantities, she could resell the excess to fellow homeschoolers and save them money off of retail. This began the Timberdoodle tradition of searching out the best homeschool supplies and selling them at discounted prices.
Timberdoodle's homeschool philosophy is to use your school time to focus on teaching your children how to learn. Teach them reading, math, and thinking skills, and they will be well on their way to being a huge blessing to their community. Yes, there is a lot more to learn: Latin, art, science, foreign languages, history, writing, grammar, geography... and we encourage you to do as much of that as you enjoy and your time and budget allow.
